WHAT IS MICRODERMABRASION?
I LOVE MICRODERMABRASION....BUT NOT EVERYONE CAN DO IT!!!
It's a wonderful treatment to remove dead skin from the Stratum Corneum
(the outer layer of our skin) IT IS A NON INVASIVE WAY TO BRIGHTENED THE SKIN.
WITH ZERO DOWN TIME!!! (ONE SESSION CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE)
These are a few of things when MICRODERMABRASION should not be done!
this IS SO IMPORTANT FOR YOU AND YOUR Esthetician TO KNOW.....
Active Skin Infections, Severe inflammatory acne, open wounds and rosacea...
You must also avoid the treatment if you took isotretinoin ((ACCUTANE) IN THE
PAST 12 MONTHS, HAVE UNCONTROLLED DIABETES, OR HAVE A HISTORY OF KELOID SCARRING.
I THINK IT IS SO IMPORTANT FOR YOUR ESTHETICIAN TO KNOW THESE THINGS BEFORE YOU GET STARTED.
HERE ARE FEW MORE THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:
Active cold sores, (Herpes Simplex) or warts
Bacterial or fungal skin infections
Active, inflamed, or pustular acne
Open cuts, scrapes, or broken skin
Sunburned or windburned skin.
Although your Esthetician may see some of these things, she cannot see all of it you need to tell her what's going on with your skin.
CHRONIC SKIN DISORDERS
Rosacea or fragile capillaries
Eczema, dermatitis, or psoriasis flare-ups
History of Keloids
Moles or skin cancers
Use of Accutane within the last 6 to 12 months
Recent chemical peels or waxing in the past 7-10days.
Blood thinning medications which can cause bruising.
Active chemotherapy or radiation treatments
